人気ユーチューバー「治安悪い国に潜入してギャングのリーダーに突撃してみるわ！」 → その後、音信不通に → ヤバイことになっていた・・・

危険スポット探索で人気の米YouTuber、ハイチでギャングに誘拐される

アメリカのYouTuberチャンネル「YourFellowArab」（登録者数143万人）のMaalouf。

Maaloufは今回、カリブ海の島国ハイチを訪れました。現在ハイチは治安が急速に悪化しており、ギャングの襲撃などによって、ここ3カ月で1500人以上の死者が出ていると報じられている。

目的は、ハイチで最も強力なギャングのリーダーであるジミー・ジェリジエ（別名バーベキュー）にインタビューするためでしたが、ハイチに到着した翌日の3月14日、Maaloufとメンバー達はギャング組織に誘拐され、60万ドル（約9000万円）の身代金を要求される事態に。

この事実は非公表でしたが、誘拐から2週間ほど経つとネットで情報が広まり、29日にはMaaloufの友人により誘拐が明かされた。

そして誘拐から2週間以上経った3月30日、MaaloufはXを更新し、無事に解放されたことを報告。

Maaloufが誘拐されたのは肌の色、「白人」であるという理由だけだったとのこと。

街から60kmほど離れた砂漠の真ん中のコンクリートの小屋の中で神に祈り続けたといい、無事に解放された今、「神に栄光あれ」と投稿。
